Let me put this way. If the music is as shocking as when Kaleidoscope came out, then it would be the real deal. So far this still sounds like EDM to me or something that would have came out in 2012.
This ‘move’ still looks like social media team intern to me.

Whoa it's a totally trance club life and he calls it out at the beginning! Honestly, I'm totally happy with this and having experienced dreamstate. If he has truly come back I'm happy with this style!

curious to see what #974 will look like... but i'm expecting it to be the usual format for 2025 vs. trance.
would expect dream state started as a one-off... but the hype/attention surrounding the set + the new album that is borne from making some new tracks for the concept... combined with the reception this gig has got from absolutely everywhere.. there will be a huge pressure to now switch back completely.

He says in the episode with Bring Me To Life it marks a new direction, so I have to assume it's permanent. It seems like he has been trying to scratch a nostalgia itch since Coachella / EDC and finally feels that he can do it. These tracks are really from the era where they began to film him more, so I even wonder if he just spent a few hours on YouTube reliving these moments.

Hi guys and girls, after a couple of years of being completely disappointed with Tijs, I can finally say that the hype for me is now real. I’ve been living in the US since 2023 and have seen him play twice here at LIV Miami and Omnia in Las Vegas. Both were the worst experiences ever, in terms of the music and the clubs themselves. If you’re not filthy rich in these places, you’re nobody. I’d never visit them again.
I was very surprised by his ISOS set at EDC, which even made me cry while watching it on YouTube. I was considering going to Dreamstate but ended up skipping it. My wife suggested we attend his gig at Factory Town in Miami next week, which I initially declined, but after hearing his CL 973 set, I bought the tickets. I really hope he delivers, and I’ll give you a full report the day after.
Regarding his new “trance” tracks, I find them mediocre, to be honest nothing compared to his pre-2007 productions. With his status and financial capabilities, he could easily work with much better producers. I think he’s just rusty, and that it will take more than a few plays of “Universal Nation” to scrape off the gunk accumulated after a decade of spinning “Jackie Chan.”

Gotta say Lyteo Rank 1 Mix and Nitrous Oxide are really connoisseur level. No way his TikTok intern team knew about those even if they spent hours on shorts.
