What else do you want fans to take away from the compilation?
I can just say I’m very proud of the compilation, it really came together well. It’s been a very nice journey and I think it’s a very cool Tiësto compilation. I think people who like me from the beginning — who liked me when I first started DJing and was playing all trance — they will appreciate this compilation as well because it has a lot of melodic sounds. And I think the people who used to like that style will appreciate this compilation as well, as well as the new people.

Where he is now sound wise is fine - very wide spectrum!

But if he thinks this is music "old" fans will understand, he is lost in the head

^ It's growing on me tbh. I can somewhat understand what he means with older fans reference .. I mean it's something which finally is not banging-edm and it's somewhat smoother and not as plasticky sounding as EDM.. but it's still a far stretch Smile

I still wish there was a CD.. but knowing me, anything that has Tiesto name on it and with a sunrise/set has to be bought Razz

I am listening to Volume 1 and Club Life 508 and somehow, CL508 is more cohesive set.

But I need to confess that from the certain Xmas nostalgia feelings, I am jumping to Tiesto Tracks 2004-2009 folders just for fun Very Happy

It's too big a reach for me... the ISOS style is proggressive with melody at the forefront, this is too flat to be compared, it has moments but there is no build or grand design - even CL 508 is more listenable for this reason.

But then doesn't help that I wasn't too fond of any cd release since ISOS4 in 2005... after that even ISOS was watered down from what it had initially represented.

Or did Tiesto mean old fans by 2005-2010 before the electro sound?

I'm quite happy with the banging EDM style (for me it's not that totally "mainstream" what he's done live this year. Just a good balance - and the energy and unique-ness of the festival sets actually make a lot more sense to the "old fan" in me, but then I did start with Tiesto at a time when he was a Dj focused on banging club sound - not just trance back then either - but it's impossible of course to compare 2000-2003 tiesto SOLO atmosphere to anything after. By comparison even TIC concept looks ridiculous.

For me music needs to move me.Whether it's a lyric, part of a song ,etc... For some reason Tijs old stuff still till this day moves me.I'm not as moved with his new stuff.However, I believe every album has gems on it.Still now .I love the remix of faded.I also love chemicals.It's very personal to me.I don't know if he's better when he's in love or not.I still debate it.I will never take away how his music has helped me,soothed me,made me what to jump through the roof,and seeing him live.I hope in 2017 his music will be awesome!! I will be waiting. Cool

I mean, he might as well release it this year but I would definetely not be holding my breath

I'm no expert but that is definitely T's type / taste in women.

She reminds me a bit of Monique spronk. That's who he should still be with in my personal view, they had a chemistry that cannot be matched. She was also nice and down to earth to speak to fans too. What helps.

Ha, and I was just thinking how come there are no Happy Birthday to the Man, messages Smile

So fingers crossed that next year brings some good tracks, because On My Way is terrible, AFTR-HRS Vol. 1 didn't meet expectations and we might welcome something to cheer for Smile

Not a bad point Mon... it's not the first time T and the team have stolen an existing song and Tiesto'd it... but maybe it is unreleasable for copyright reasons this time.. its not like ripping off cor fijneman or something, when you try to go up against Kanye, you'll be in court and lose! Very Happy
