oh dear... hit the wrong jogwheel? the distortion continues on the next track too.. so it's more than just his hand slipped.
pretty weird use of it too, skipped over the main breakdown, only playing last 2 mins or so of the track to catch the "shadow" vocal

LOL - I'm out of the loop. Are they really not working together anymore on contemporary stuff? I figured he was at least responsible for all the "Tiësto Edit" tracks we heard during the recent ISOS set. But I digress...
