Yeah after 38 he completely changed it up again and went in.
I’m the same Chris that Benwal track & Ken-You - You, are both amazing and brought the nostalgia back even with them being new tracks.
Did not like insomnia it just seemed cheesy it was something to our knowledge he’d never originally played so it seemed a bit Tomorrowland for me.

He played track that had a very drumcode sound to it I cant remember which it was quite a basic production but I liked it. It was the ID after Strange World. I could hear him playing this back in 2000 to 2004 and it fitting in then too.

The thing he was always the master of was introducing different sounds in a set that many other DJs especially trance DJs never did.
For example the Dutch Dimention set of 2002 and even some of the amnesia sets of 2002.
He’d be playing all the trance sounds moving up from progressive to vocals, to dreamy and then bang something so different like a Umek - Lanicor, or Toneking pneu and it would create this just special moment as he’d take it on a different direction I just don’t think that part from 35 had that effect and wasn’t needed in this particular set it killed what was a very special journey.
Nice records but just didn’t fit.
But as I’m trying to put across this is what he did best so I’m all for him doing that I just don’t think these particular sounds went well.
I’d of much rather heard the track he played at dream state Nemke - Stampedo.

Il jist say this though I’m super thrilled & love he is back. 2009 to late 2025 never happened.

100%.. that was what made his selection and sets unique, that ability to throw in something unexpected but still keeping the energy.

that section between Strange World and Adagio was fully in the element - chaotic unusual selections.. and from what i saw on the feed, he looked like it was the part he enjoyed the most... exactly what we'd get in the early 00s (before even he became a bit more formulaic in 2005-10 with the ISOS concept taking over)

the "easiest" way to do this reboot would be to start playing some classics, refresh a few with a 2025 touch and just add it as a section to Prismatic concept, the fact he's gone all-in... produced an album, picking up this new raw style that is far removed from polished trance tracks shows quite a heavy investment to reinvent himself here.. loving it! As someone also commented already, that will set him apart from the other trance DJs... just like back in the day

the latest footage he shared from Insomnia was with totally different camera angles and higher quality than anything we saw on the twitch feed, so i'm not excited to have an official link so we can start to appreciate this set better.

Lenka shared your comment about Insomnia too btw.. without being a geek about it... Laughing "weird, he never played this one tho did he?" Very Happy hehe

Haha see to all us die hard fans it was just a bit of a head scratcher, something we don’t think he’d played before then suddenly dropped to the full effect with lazers at a show like this.
Just didn’t understand it but would you take Insomnia or Dance 4 Life Razz

I hope Lenka & yourself are doing well mate, and i hope you all have a good Christmas.

Really am looking forward to seeing how Tiësto continues in 2026 - Creamfields is calling me Cool

gonna avoid the dodgy recordings on this one 'till i can get my ears on a full HD YT vid. but the hype is real. it's so damn cool that he just went 180 and tries to really invest in a full new trance T. he doesn't need to do it for his rep. or bankacc. he's doing it because he wants to, and want's to dig deeper. such an investement in himself receives full kudos from my part.

indeed let's forget '10 - '25, the ressurection is real Laughing

BTW;can't remember insomnia being played before, but there have been others!! can remember a 5 mei liberation day party in Vlissingen going of on a (i believe) we come 1 Very Happy .

This archive/concept was just a twinkle in the milkman's eye at the point when Faithless Insomnia was released... what's to say he wasn't hammering it everywhere in 1996 Very Happy

He probably was as we don't know a lot he was playing at Spock and the likes. Ah well, don't care. Still he remembers what he's supposed to play by heart. Really curious how all this sounds when it's officially released.

40. V.Christie - Dream

For that one with the Dream vocals… should’ve got that as it was in the Kettama B2B too.. oops

dropping Forever Today intro from the t/l as it might have been a prelude only (if the official set on Tiesto yt is starting @ the new track only)..

rest of T/L looks like the team used 1001 t/l only... no new ID's given. It had already been pointed out that Greece was a new edit...

ID 4 8 12 in good HQ audio + excellent (more camera angles than twitch) video footage = = Shocked Shocked Shocked he's so back Cool

Thankfully what sounded like quite sloppy transitions with weird channel volumes on the livestream, sounds much tidier in the master..

/edit - I knew we needed to keep faith and wait for the HQ recording… the dodgy sections now making a lot of sense to me… man is on fire

The set is on YouTube already, why is this SoundCloud link that wants a login everytime you want to fast-forward or do anything with the track...
